Getting to & enjoying Naxos, Greece.
Travel with intention.
Be present here.
Naxos is a beautiful Greek isle with breathtaking views, delicious food, and simple living. Our recommendation is arriving on the island at least a day prior, if scheduling allows, and taking in the scenery and town before our festivities (but stay in Greece as long as you possibly can!)
Naxos is a 3.5 hour ferry ride from Athens.
Here’s what we recommend:
Flying to Athens:
-You’ll want to fly to
Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) on the airline of your choosing.
-We recommend landing on July 24th, taking the ferry to Naxos, and spending the night on the island.
(Of course, you can arrive as early, and stay as long as you wish… This is your vacation too!)
-If scheduling is tight, you could also land on the 25th no later than 7:00am and catch the 9:15am Ferry to Naxos (THIS IS THE LAST FERRY THAT WILL GET YOU TO OUR WELCOME DINNER ON TIME).
Ferrying to Naxos:
HERE is the link to buy ferry tickets. You will be traveling from Athens/Piraeus to Naxos.
There are 7am/8am ferries with SEAJETS which take 3.5 hours.
And
9:15am/3:15pm ferries which take 4.5 hours.
Getting around in Naxos:
-If you want to explore the island (and we suggest you do!) we recommend a rental car from PRINCESS RENT A CAR (you can let them know you’re here for Amy’s wedding!)
Friends can team up for lodging and car rentals to keep prices down.
-If this isn’t in your trajectory we suggest staying in town and getting around by foot or Taxi.
(There are no Ubers in Naxos).
-There will be a shuttle to and from our wedding from town.

Where to stay
Hotels and Airbnbs.
-There are many hotels in the main town with reasonable rates between $75-90 a night. (Here’s a screenshot of the town).
There’s also plenty of fancy options! Beachfront spa anyone?
-Two good mid tier choices in town:
ZAS Studios
Georgia Mar
(or stay in this fabulous pink house!)
-And of course, a great budget friendly and fun option is to gather together at an Airbnb of your choosing.
